(ĐTTCO) – Ngày 19-1, Ủy ban Chứng khoán Nhà nước cho biết, năm 2020, thị trường chứng khoán (TTCK) Việt Nam đã có một năm tăng trưởng ấn tượng với chỉ số VN Index vượt 1.100 điểm, đạt 1103,87 điểm, tăng mạnh tới 67% so với thời điểm thấp nhất của năm 2020, tăng 14,9% so với thời điểm cuối năm 2019; chỉ số HNX Index tăng gần 119% so với thời điểm cuối quý I-2020 và tăng 98,1% so với cuối năm 2019.

Stock markets made breakthrough in pandemic year

(Saigon Investment) - The global stock markets had a good year despite the volatilities caused by months of uncertainty due to the Covid-19 pandemic. All European stock index strongly recovered after a sharp decline at the beginning of the year, while the US stock index reached the highest level in history. Asian stock markets also saw many breakthroughs during an unpredictable year.
GDP growth in the 2nd quarter on record low

(ĐTTCO) - The Bank of England estimated in early May that GDP was on course to shrink by 2.9% in 2020 quarter 1, then 25% in quarter 2. With a fall 14% in 2020, this is twice the size of the collapse during the financial crisis. With the figures in for April the UK economy shrank 20.4%, the largest monthly contraction on record. For the 3 months to April the decline was 10.4%.

Capital again flowing into Vietnam stocks

The stock market is now almost back to normal mainly due to the steady and tireless purchasing power of investors.
